SALI'S STORY

When I learned of a young man in Uganda who had committed his life to sharing his love of the game with underprivileged kids in Africa, my heart and creative wheels were churning.
After 9 months of planning and budgeting, I led a 4-person crew to Uganda to direct a 7-day documentary capture.
4 weeks of editing followed, and Sali's Story aired on PGA TOUR YouTube as a 4-part longform series, across @PGATOUR social as short, powerful clips and PGATOUR.com as a deep-dive editorial article.
EAST LAKE RESTORATION

Over the course of 2023, the historic host course of our Playoff Finale was getting a complete facelift.
We executed 4 separate shoots to tell the complete story of the renovation, utilizing aerials, GoPros and stylized camera work. Throughout our visits, we gained buy-in from the club and architect leading to special access.
Accenture joined in as presenting sponsor, making it a success on multiple fronts.
FPV Speed Drone: TPC Sawgrass Agronomy

TPC Sawgrass is the PGA TOUR's crown jewel, and the host of THE PLAYERS Championship.
​
To celebrate its lure and prestige, we first hired a talented FPV Speed Drone pilot. With this format of content already trending, we had to go bigger and better.
​
I worked with golf course staff for weeks in lead-up to script 140 staff members in place on the golf course. Every golf course staff member was utilized. I then directed the staff and pilot on site for three different takes, and led the post-production (24-hour turnaround) and social execution.

It garnered 6 million+ views on social and set the tone for THE PLAYERS week.
The Mumbling Interviewer: Rookies

We are proud of the range of content type and tone that we can execute across our platforms. This prank struck the perfect balance of humor and harmless as we brought in a creator known for his mumbling interviews to put a fresh spin on rookie interviews.

One one of my proudest moments was leading this Gary & Amy story from start to finish.
I pitched the idea to connect Gary Woodland & Amy Bockerstette
in this unique "surprise and delight", gaining internal support.
I then went on-site where I wrote the run of show and "script", prepped both Amy and Gary ahead of capture, and produced two-camera shoot and edit.
PGA TOUR X DARIUSTWIN
Led partnership with creator, wrote script and strategized social roll-out
Tasked with elevating a priority event, our internal leadership shared an idea to collaborate with light-painting artist DariusTwin.
I then held several brainstorms with our content team and leaders, as well as the artist himself, to land on a concept all parties were bought into. Partnering with our Operations team was then crucial as we navigated budget and logistics challenges, earned support from the host venue, and hashed out a script.
We eventually released a dynamic, collaborative short-form piece to light up Presidents Cup week in Montreal.
WHEN TIGER MET SAM

We work well ahead of milestones and major initiatives to prepare premium, unique and impactful content.
Utilizing a soundbite from a 2012 press conference, I wrote a script and brought it to life with the help of an outside animation company.
We debuted the piece after Tiger Woods caught Sam Snead with 82 PGA TOUR wins. Notice the detail and hidden easter eggs!

Golf fans are the best. And in today's day and age, they are not only fans but creators.
With a simple call to action and hashtag, we tapped into this key resource to create buzz around our flagship tournament.
